British Values and the Prevent Duty

This course will give further clarity on what British Values and the Prevent Duty means and how they can be met in the early years.

An opportunity to develop a more in-depth knowledge of The Counter Terrorism Act, the issues around radicalisation, possible indicators of vulnerability and a clear overview of how you can meet your responsibilities under the Prevent Duty. There is a comprehensive breakdown of the 4 fundamental British Values into early years practice

  • To understand the background and purpose of British Values
  • To clarify the law and your responsibilities in the Prevent Duty
  • To explore how the EYFS actively promotes the teaching of British Values
  • To identify how Ofsted will judge practice
  • To reflect on practice in order to secure improvements
